Block #48 - Crossed Canoes


Block Name: Crossed Canoes

Size: 6"

Technique: Paper Piecing

Today's block is a more traditional block. It is known by several names: Crossed Canoes, Santa Fe Quilt, Indian Canoes, The Dragon Fly, Twinkling Star, and Tippecanoe. It is paper pieced in four units, two in exact contrast to the other two.

It wouldn't be Thanksgiving without Grandma's Pumpkin Pie! Today's block is not as tasty as the real thing, but it can be made in less time. :) Two paper pieced units and you are done faster than you can say "Pass the turkey, please".

I don't know about you, but I have to have my coffee in the morning! When I'm running late, it's "coffee to go" for me! This is an easy 2 unit paper pieced quilt block pattern that I hope you enjoy as much as your morning coffee!
